Goal: The goal of Therismos is to generate finances for the development of God’s Kingdom in Poland and further a field. The company will be run, based on Christian Kingdom principles, where Jesus will be the "head" of the organization. All profits will be passed on to Kanaan Christian Center who is the owning entity.
Ownership: The owner of the Therismos and of all the shares of the company is the Kanaan Christian Center The president of the company is Mr. Janusz Pisula and the vice president Boleslaw Paliwoda. President Janusz Pisula has been involved in the printing field since 1996. Mr. Janusz Pisula has been a member of Kanaan Christian Center since its beginning and since October 1997 he has been an elder of the church. Boleslaw Paliwoda is the Pastor and founder of Kanaan Christian Center in Wroclaw. The president and Vice president of Therismos Ltd will not take a salary in the first stage of company development to maximize turnover and profits enabling faster modernization of machinery. To also maximize turnover into profit all contracted employees will be employed as deacons of Kanaan Christian Center serving in the Printing House. Under Polish Law a church has certain tax deductions which will help to lower the set up costs and keep competitive prices.
Funding: To execute the plans and develop the business, Kanaan Christian Center needs a certain amount of capital. Kanaan Christian Center has set aside USD$16,000 to purchase equipment. However to finalize this process of buying the equipment a further USD$60,000 is needed.
Services: Therismos wishes to offer services to Christian organizations, Christian publishing houses and local churches in Poland and abroad. Therismos will also be open to non-religious offers. At present Therismos are having talks with some Christian publishing houses in Poland and also have a verbal agreement of cooperation with one printing house. Therismos have also received similar offers from Advertising Agencies already in the printing market in Poland and France. The Polish religious printing market is rather poor and there are a lot of valuable publications which should be published in Poland. Many religious organizations and churches have their publications published in secular printing houses.
The Therismos printing house will be the first Church owned Company that can provide for Christian printing needs. It plans to print books, folders, fliers, brochures and all types of publications. In the first stage of the venture, Therismos will concentrate on printing. In the second development stage they plan to develop the publishing business. Therismos are considering cooperating with a larger publishing house where they could be contracted for a longer period of time thus providing Therismos with a continuous income and steady company development. Therismos have already received a lot of queries asking when they are going to start printing because of the existing need in the market. Therismos already have designs of business cards and stationary and have designed the company logo and multimedia presentation which will provide more detailed information through our CD.
Premises: Therismos has already rented premises and reserved two machines: a copier and a guillotine. They have been in touch with companies selling second hand printing equipment for the last 3 months and expect to purchase the rest of the equipment in June / July 2005. The registered office of Therismos is also the office of Kanaan Christian Center The company premises are near the presidents home and these premises are located on WROBIS logistics depot near to one of the main streets of the city. There is security protection and the premises are heated and well lit. This will enable Therismos to maintain the conditions of good printing. In front of the premises there are parking spaces and the area is concreted and on one level providing excellent transport conditions.
Future Plans: Therismos has a 3 step plan for the future. Firstly, they are planning to exchange the second hand equipment for new and add to it so that everything can be provided in-house without the need to sub contract other companies. Secondly, they are going to look for new contacts and partners in Western Europe with the aim to develop business in Western Europe using the advantage of competitive rates and service compared to those of Western European companies. Thirdly Therismos would like to start the publishing aspect of the business which should increase turnover and profits. Therismos plan to create a place where Kanaan Christian Center members and other local churches will find employment and where necessary train them in other printing houses in Wroclaw to handle particular equipment or a certain position. Therismos wants to create new places of employment, not restricting recruitment to Christian circles but where necessary, the employment of professionals in key positions even if they are non believers.back to top

During the meeting the following resolution was made:
1. Mission Statement of Therismos Ltd.
“We will continue to support financially Christian ministries, missions, foundations and local churches to enable them to expand the Kingdom of God”. 2. Vision of Therismos Ltd. The vision of Therismos Ltd is to support the expansion of the Kingdom of God through the practical implementation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, changing peoples’ lives and their lifestyle situations.
3. Proceeds from Therismos Ltd All proceeds from Therismos Ltd will be designated to the work and needs to build the Kingdom of God and also for the purposes of investment into the company.
